Please carefully read the guidelines on the “Entry and Release Form.” Suggested lesson plans to instruct students about juries can be found on the attached “Teacher Guide.” Judging and PrizesJudging will be done by an independent panel of lawyers identified by the non-profit Judicial Learning Center, Inc. Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District will participate in the Annual Congressional Art Competition again this spring. This competition is an excellent opportunity to recognize the rich artistic talents of the high school students in our district. Each year I look forward to seeing the outstanding work of our accomplished young artists. You can view the 2023 entries here. The winning entry from the 2nd District will not only be recognized at the local level but will also be displayed for one year in the United States Capitol. The winning artist will receive round-trip airfare for two to Washington, D. C. so they can attend a reception honoring all the winners from across the nation. The second and third place entries will be displayed in my Washington D.C. and District Offices, respectively, for one year also. All entries should be delivered to one of my District Offices: 301 Sovereign Court, Suite 201, Ballwin MO 63011 or 516 Jefferson Street, Washington, MO 63090. All entries and Student Information & Release Forms must be submitted by 5:00pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Art intake in the Washington, MO office is only from 10am-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
